MY TAMAGOTCHI DIED TODAY       (2021)

Type is language. Language is communication. We grew up to typefaces that are as clear as it gets when it comes to reading them. My typeface is not readable. My typeface has nothing to say, only to show. Language is the outdated context of typefaces. “My tamagotchi died today is not communicating, it is moving. Inspired by early Japanese manga art, it jumps, explodes and spins beyond the borders of a regular typeface grid. Applied to different media, animation, screenprinting and publication, it always moves.
